Shohei Ohtani continued his otherworldly 2025 season on Saturday, launching a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Los Angeles Dodgers a stunning 7-4 victory over the San Francisco Giants at Dodger Stadium.
The two-way superstar, who also pitched six strong innings earlier in the game allowing just one run, hit his 22nd home run of the season off Giants closer Camilo Doval. The Dodgers remain unbeaten at home this season, a remarkable 18-0 record in front of their home crowd.
Manager Dave Roberts called Ohtani ‘the most complete player the sport has ever seen.’ Ohtani, who is in the midst of an MVP-caliber season both on the mound and at the plate, simply smiled when asked about his performance. ‘I just try to help the team win,’ he said through his interpreter.
